Our AI+ 18oz straight fit.
With a silhouette slightly narrower than our regular straight, these have a moderately tapered feel. An easy-to-wear straight cut that can be worn by anyone.
The denim used here is a very unique18oz fabric that uses a special technique to mix indigo dye with natural indigo along with our Samurai Cotton blended yarn. This made it possible for us to rope dye these (natural indigo normally employs hand dyeing). The result is a denim with a very deep and rich color, and a really rough look and texture.
The special leather patch on these depicts an indigo-dyeing craftsman, and has a navy blue foil stamp to represent the color of the denim itself. Other details include a special flasher, silver painted “taiko” drum buttons, copper coin-shaped rivets and AI+ printed pocket bags.
For the sewing, we’ve used two colors: banana yellow and golden brown, with the stitch count, needle count, and stitch width all varied according to each part of the jeans to bump these up to the next level of attention to detail.
Due to changes in specifications, the arcs stitching and the woven SAMURAI label on the back pockets have been removed.
