“Drunk Stripe Flannel Work Shirt”
A shirt made of a heavy flannel fabric with wavy, staggering ‘drunken’ stripes. These stripes are woven by a master weaver in the Banshu region of Japan whose business has been running for over 100 years. He says he wants to research and perfect technology and techniques that nobody else can do such as perfectly weaving the wavy, uneven, ‘drunken’ stripes seen here. The yellow is inspired by the color of beer, while the red is meant to represent the ruby color of wine.
