“40s style/Great War model”
Relaxed straight cut with a roomy rise and hips, created as a tribute to jeans from the WW2 era. To get the look and feel just right we researched not only the cotton yarns of that time, but also details such as thread thickness, unique thread colors, period-correct stitch width, etc., then adding our own Samurai magic to the mix. The denim comes in at 15oz and is made of Texas cotton spun into slubby #6 threads. Although this denim is relatively light compared to other Samurai denim types, the hard texture and roughness of the fabric has made it a favorite of many denim fans. Taking into account the specs found on jeans at the time, we went with several unique details such as olive-colored herringbone pocket bags as well as leaving some of the uncut portions of fabric as is (normally these parts are trimmed or removed on modern jeans).
