Shipping policy

We are proud to offer Free express worldwide shipping on orders over 30,000 JPY. Normal delivery charge is 4,500 JPY for orders under 30,000 JPY.

Consumption tax (10%) in Japan is not applied for overseas deliveries, however, our prices do not include customs, duties, and taxes incurred to be shipped.

We use world-class courier companies like EMS by Japan Post, or DHL, or FedEx to ship our products. (However, the courier company is appointed by our online shopping system automatically and we are not allowed to appoint it upon request.)

We strive to ship from our warehouse in Osaka, Japan within 2 to 3 days of receiving an order and our customers normally receive their orders within a few days of shipping. Please note that we have no control over customs authorities in your country, which may from time to time delay the delivery of a package or, in rare situations, request for additional information.  

As soon as the item leaves our offices in Osaka, Japan, it belongs to the customer who paid for it since you as our customer are solely responsible for the importation of items bought at our website. Customs policies vary from country to country and customers are solely responsible for importing the item into the country it was shipped to and any customs, duties, and taxes incurred as a result of the importation. We are not allowed to change the price on the delivery documents. For more information, we recommend you contacting your local customs office.

Samurai Jeans is not responsible for any customs, duties, and taxes incurred as well as delays in shipping caused by the customs authorities. Also note that transportation cost (in both ways) and custom clearance cost associated with an order cancellation / refusal of a package before successful delivery will be deducted from the payment amount before the refund.

Update for U.S. Customers

Starting 29 August 2025, the de minimis exemption of USD800 will no longer apply to imports from any country. This means that shipments from Samurai Jeans (based in Osaka, Japan) will be subject to U.S. import duties, regardless of order value. 

  • Orders may be subject to local duties and taxes upon arrival.
  • These costs are the responsibility of the customer and vary by country. For more information, we recommend contacting your local customs office.
  • The shipping company will contact you directly to proceed with payment if applicable.
