“Zero Black”
This special black denim is made with slubby #5 rope-dyed yarns that have been sulphur-dyed and woven at low-tension on a vintage shuttle loom. By weaving at such low tension, we are able to create a slubbier look and feel. Zero denim (also known as Bushido denim) got its name because it’s the first denim created from scratch, or from ‘zero’, starting from the yarn-making stage. And even though it’s black, it will give you those amazing fades normally only found with indigo denim. For the weft we’ve used an undyed ivory #5 thread.
